I was installing some radiant insulation and slipped between two joists in the attic.  Here's the result!  Shackleton was asleep in his doggy bed below and luckily the plaster fell just to the side of him resting.  He looked up at with a crazed look on his dusty face.

The Garage is Finished!

Feels good to be done with a small part of the greater picture.  I'll start on the two units in the back next.

Body Coat

Sprayed the body and was really happy with the results using the sprayer.  Two coats and then on to the trim!

Prime Time

We decided to go with Sherwin-Williams Arts and Crafts color palette.  We narrowed it down to four different colors for the body.  Cream for the windows and a dark mahogany for the trim.

I used a paint sprayer for the primer and it went fast and smooth.  Clean up was rather tedious but relatively simple.  I made sure to take the gun apart and clean out any tiny little bits of paint to prevent clogs down the line.

Front of garage before and after

Man I really love my sander!

Bondo

Love the stuff!  I've been using Bondo to fill holes, gaps and rough edges of the siding and have found it to work great.  It sets up fast so I can only mix small batches, but it is solid once dry and easy to sand.  The garage sanding and prep is complete so its time to start painting

Garage Door

The lower section of the garage is a more recent improvement from a previous owner. There is hardly any paint on the wood so the sanding is moving along nicely. The top half of the garage is original and I've spent many hours on the ladder up there trying to fade peeled areas in from the wood to the most recent of about 6 layers of paint.
